Purpose of the catalogue
The UQOPI Public Domain Literature Library exists to make out-of-copyright works accessible to readers interested in history, archaeology, and social customs. The catalogue is designed for study and leisurely reading, not for commercial use.
Scope and selection
All 97 works in the library are drawn from Project Gutenberg, a digital archive of public-domain texts. Selection prioritizes works that offer substantive content on ancient civilizations, domestic life, and historical narratives. No original texts have been abridged or altered.
Source attribution
Every record identifies Project Gutenberg as the source. The catalogue does not claim independent provenance or copyright status. Bibliographic details are transcribed from the source metadata.
Bibliographic records
Each book record includes the title, author(s) as listed, the publisher (Project Gutenberg), keywords, a target reader description, and a catalogue note written by the editor. Category assignment
